Much of my inspiration comes from nature. From northern Norway where I grew up. That’s where my roots are; it’s the familiar place where I went fishing, camping and hiking in the forests and mountains. That’s where I find peace and that’s where I get my inspiration from in terms of the textures of materials and the use of color in raw materials. The robustness of overwhelming nature and the feeling it gives me, in the same environment surrounded by culture and environment.

The lovely fishing villages and the transition from immense mountains to bright blue waters in the fjords. The contrast between light and dark, between hard and soft. Rock crystal, earth, elements, light, air, water. You can see it all in my objects and artifacts.
