Glass as a sculptural “non-material” is a concept I have developed and researched for the past two years, challenging the expression of the material glass, taking away its “glassiness” and leaving it with a pure emotional expression and visual properties as stone, ceramics or metal. The starting points of these sculptures are charcoal drawings where I gather my thoughts and emotions into a figurative expression. I want to leave an opening for the interpretation to the spectator, to specify the emotional expression or state of mind of the sculptural creatures. This is because I think that every person will have a different interpretation based on the experiences they have obtained during their life time.
