Im-Material is a serie of sculptural vessels where I focus on the contrast between the inner and the outer layers, the bright and the dark.
with a emphasis on the outer structure and texture, I have developed recepis to change the exterior expression. to take away the traditional glassiness and give it an expression that reminds more of stone, ceramics or metal.
the inner surface is shining with brite colours and standing in a strong contrast to the exterior surface. revealing the traditional shine and qualities we all think of in glass.
the visual expressions of the sculptural vessels are changing from organic free shapes to more strict simp shapes.
but i always fry to work with the liquide qualities that the hot glass has and to freeze it into the could finished piece.
